Social Cohesion as a Challenge for Science and Technology

In order to find solutions for global challenges, science and technology must be organized in a more transdisciplinary way and a greater diversity of scientific and technological cultures must be achieved. In the debates on how to ensure social cohesion scientific and technological developments are perceived as co-responsible for key societal problems. Simultaneously their contribution to the analysis and solution of these problems is demanded. Transdisciplinarity and diversity enable societal challenges to be more closely interconnected with scientifically and technologically defined problems. Therefore these are the central objectives for which the group of applicants is developing a project plan.
